The business was founded by Bill Field more than 30 years ago in Victoria. With a background in civil construction and a drive for innovation, Bill recognised the potential of Horizontal Directional Drilling as a low-impact, high-precision method for underground utility installation. From day one, the focus was on quality work, long-term results and honest service — values that still guide us today.
Now based in Ballina, Field Directional Drilling is proudly operated by the next generation. Bill’s two sons and daughter work side by side across operations, project management and onsite delivery, combining experience with energy and a shared focus on results.
